Diwali Sweets in Singapore:
Handmade Mithai in Gift Boxes and Jars
Singapore (2026)
Akasa is an Indian restaurant in Singapore’s CBD, and our cooking draws on the kitchens of Royal India. People come to us for slow, careful food served with a little ceremony, and the team behind it cares about getting the small things right.
Every Diwali, that same kitchen turns to mithai. Our Diwali sweets in Singapore are made by our own chefs, who shape each ladoo, pinni and barfi by hand, in small batches, and take the time it needs. We use jaggery, whole grains, nuts and pure cow ghee, and everything is 100% vegetarian. These are recipes people know from home, made the way they should be.
The popular dates are fast selling and are on sale from 8 November 2026 onwards so it is advisable to order early rather than late for this event.
How You Can
Order
There are three ways to order, so you can choose what suits the person you’re giving to.
- Individual sweets: If you already know your favourites, order only those. This works well when you’re buying for your own home, or when you’re topping up a gift with an extra sweet or two.
- Gift boxes: Neatly packed and ready to hand over. A box is the easy choice for family visits, neighbours, friends and colleagues. You can give it as it is, with no wrapping or extra shopping needed.
- Premium gift jars: A more refined option for the people who matter most, such as a senior client, a close business partner or a family elder. A jar feels more considered, and it looks good on a shelf or desk long after the sweets are finished.
These formats suit family visits, festive get-togethers, client gifts, staff presents and office celebrations. If you’re ordering for more than one occasion, you can mix formats in a single order. For example, jars for your top clients and boxes for the wider team.
Who Should You Gift Diwali Sweets To?
More than you’d think, diwali sweets are good for. Below are the four groups that our customers give the most and what typically works best for them.
- Family and elders: Parents and grandparents will appreciate a premium gift jar, and the jar will be in the cupboard for long after all the candies have been eaten.
- Neighbours and friends: a ready-to-give gift box is the easy choice. Drop it off on Diwali day, no wrapping needed.
- Clients and business partners: a jar or box represents that you thought of them. Select a jar to hold the most important people in your life.
- Staff and colleagues: place an order for a box for everyone, or one box for the whole office. Everyone is invited to participate in the festivities.
